Danny Bazzi, a former lawyer turned music promoter and boss of Silverback Touring, is facing a fierce backlash from a growing chorus of local and international musicians.<\/p>\n

A trail of disgruntled rock stars, local acts, and industry contractors are banding together, claiming Bazzi has left them out of pocket.<\/p>\n

The mounting allegations finally caught up with Bazzi during a tense confrontation in the middle of a Bunnings car park followed by Bazzi agreeing to do a sitdown interview.<\/p>\n

Former hair metal front man Stevie Rachelle used his notorious industry watchdog webpage, Metal Sludge, to call out Bazzi\u2019s business practices.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce I realized who Danny Bazzi really was, there was no doubt in my mind that I had uncovered it and exposed him,\u201d Rachelle said.<\/p>\n

Among those demanding answers is Cherie Currie, the legendary lead vocalist of 1970s rock group The Runaways.<\/p>\n

Currie alleges Bazzi still owes her $15,000 from her Australian tour last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I say the name to you, Danny Bazzi, what immediately springs to mind?\u201d Currie was asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cPTSD,\u201d Currie joked darkly.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, that\u2019s a joke, because that\u2019s awful to even compare that. But it did bring back an awful [feeling]\u2026 I was really ripped off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Closer to home, rising Australian hard rock singer Cassidy Paris claims Bazzi has been holding onto her money for years \u2013 including her merchandise profits.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was 19 at the time and he took my merchandise money and hasn\u2019t paid me,\u201d Paris said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s impossible to see how he can sleep at night doing something like that when the situation is so bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

When tracked down at a local Bunnings warehouse, Bazzi initially reacted with fury when asked about Stevie Rachelle.<\/p>\n

\u201cStevie Rachelle is a f—ing narcissist,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing more to say. Get out of the f—-ing way,\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Bazzi later agreed to sit down to give his \u201cextended mix\u201d version of events, insisting he had nothing to hide.<\/p>\n

Addressing the lengthy list of creditors, Bazzi argued, \u201cThere\u2019s context to each of those.\u201d<\/p>\n

He disputed Currie\u2019s $15,000 claim, stating the true sum is closer to $US8300 and blamed the delay on an incorrect bank account number provided by Currie.<\/p>\n

He also chalked up the non-payment of Paris to \u201cadministrative errors,\u201d adding, \u201cI don\u2019t want to be seen as somebody who\u2019s taking advantage of young artists\u2026 It\u2019s not my style.\u201d<\/p>\n
