The damage left both school servers offline, with no wired network connection and no Wi-Fi available across the school.<\/p>\n
Ainsworth said the outage had affected a range of critical systems, including student management platforms containing emergency contact details, timetables and class rolls.<\/p>\n
The school\u2019s phone system for communication and \u201ccritical infrastructure\u201d such as CCTV connections had also been impacted.<\/p>\n
Students will learn from home while repairs are carried out, with staff setting work online and remaining available during regular lesson times.<\/p>\n
\u201cWork will be set via email or another online method like Google Classroom or H\u0101para, for example,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI imagine there may have been assessments due to take place tomorrow, and these will be rescheduled accordingly.\u201d<\/p>\n
Staff would also be on site to supervise students as required, Ainsworth said.<\/p>\n
He said the school was \u201cconfident and hopeful\u201d that normal operations would resume on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe cabling company will spend all day tomorrow running a new cable,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are confident that even if the network is not fully up and running, we will have had time to make provisions to ensure students can return to school.\u201d<\/p>\n
