The Grand Theft Auto 6 obsession is like nothing I’ve ever seen. How big of a deal has it become? The cover girl, who is drawn on the box, has created a stir. How much of a stir? So much so that fans believe they have tracked down the real-life inspiration for the character. Based on the IG images referenced, they might be on to something. Let’s talk GTA.

TiktokTikTok – Make Your DayKey Facts At A GlanceGame: Grand Theft Auto 6 (Rockstar Games)Release date: November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/SPre-orders: June 25, 2026 via PlayStation Store, Xbox/Microsoft Store and select retailersCover girl theory: Venezuelan DJ Gabriela Chiquin (@chiquin__), unconfirmed by RockstarPrice: Not officially announced; rumored $80 to $100 baseWho Is Gabriela Chiquin, The Viral GTA 6 Cover Girl Suspect?

Chiquin is a Venezuelan DJ, producer and model. Her fanbase is largely a Latin/Miami-adjacent party scene.

She posts as @chiquin__ across Instagram and X, where the green-top look at the center of the theory first surfaced. Her sun-soaked, party-ready content maps so neatly onto the Vice City world that the resemblance felt obvious the moment fans went looking. That overlap is a big reason the theory caught fire in the middle of a hype cycle already pointing toward record-breaking sales.

Play Puzzles & Games on Forbes

Why Do Fans Think She’s The GTA 6 Cover Girl?

She bears a striking resemblance to the woman on the cover, and Chiquin has seen and acknowledged a massive spike in followers since fans made the GTA connection.

The spark was a 2024 Instagram photo of Chiquin in a green sports top that mirrors the cover woman’s outfit, hair and pose, and because it predates the official cover art by roughly two years, nobody can write it off as cosplay. A Reddit user surfaced the side-by-side soon after the reveal, and Chiquin has since leaned into the attention by pinning the post and updating its caption.

Has Rockstar Confirmed The GTA 6 Cover Girl’s Identity?

No, and that will likely never happen, even if it’s true. There are enough differences that would prevent Rockstar from acknowledging the inspiration. There are no legal obligations if Chiquin is the inspiration. It’s not her actual likeness.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQad3U76xn4

Rockstar has confirmed plenty about the game, including its release date, platforms and pre-order timing, but it has never named a visual inspiration and tends to build composite characters instead. The studio also has reason for caution after Lindsay Lohan sued over GTA 5’s marketing, a case New York’s Court of Appeals rejected by a 6-0 vote in 2018. That outcome went Rockstar’s way, but it left the fanbase primed to scan every new cover for a real face.

When Can You Pre-Order GTA 6?

Pre-orders open on June 25 for PlayStation and Xbox/Microsoft Store.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0Tl5QvqDsI&pp=ygUSR3JhbmQgVGhlZnQgQXV0byA2

Pre-orders go live across digital storefronts after Rockstar confirmed the date alongside the cover reveal, with the game launching November 19, 2026. The publisher still has not announced editions or a price, though pricing chatter has centered on a base cost in the $80 to $100 range. Expect the identity debate to keep running right up until launch, no matter what Rockstar does or does not say.
