the highest passenger numbers are still expected on the final day of the school term.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KYZkfFLMYZDtBgBwd\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cWhile domestic travel is tracking slightly lighter than last year overall, the final day of the school term will stand out,\u201d Tasker said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KYZkfFLMYZDtBgBwd\" style=\"display:none\">On July 3, around 14,000 people will depart from Auckland\u2019s domestic terminal \u2013 a 2.7% increase from last year\u2019s busiest day \u2013 while more than 13,000 travellers are expected to arrive, up 3% on the 2025 winter break.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KYZkfFLMYZDtBgBwd\" style=\"display:none\">Christchurch, Wellington and Queenstown will be top spots for domestic travellers across both departures and arrivals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KYZkfFLMYZDtBgBwd\" style=\"display:none\">While the busiest days will fall at either end of the school holidays, weekend demand is expected to be steady over the break, with 30,000 travellers arriving across all three of the weekends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KYZkfFLMYZDtBgBwd\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cIt makes our forward planning especially important, with strong, steady demand across the holiday period, not just on one or two especially busy days,\u201d Tasker said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KYZkfFLMYZDtBgBwd\" style=\"display:none\">He advised travellers to ensure they have allowed enough time to get through security and to their gate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KYZkfFLMYZDtBgBwd\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cGet prepared for your travels by checking your airline\u2019s check-in zone up to 24 hours before departure on the <a href=\"https:\/\/url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com\/s\/hvrTCP7yXmt1P2G1F0h1cxgXwv?domain=aucklandairport.co.nz\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"
