Apple released\u00a0iOS 26<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0Sept. 15<\/a>, a few months after the company announced it at the\u00a0Worldwide Developers Conference<\/a>\u00a0in June. The update introduces a handful of new features to your iPhone, like\u00a0call screening<\/a>,\u00a0new ringtones<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0more<\/a>. It also introduced an easy-to-overlook feature called Lens Cleaning Hints. When this feature is enabled, your iPhone will display a warning if your camera lens needs a good clean.<\/p>\n This feature was automatically enabled for me after I downloaded\u00a0iOS 26<\/a>, but here’s where to find it in case it’s not turned on for you. It’s important to note that this feature is only available on\u00a0iPhone 15<\/a>\u00a0and later models, so if you have an\u00a0iPhone 14 Pro,<\/a>\u00a0you won’t see this option.\u00a0<\/p>\n Don’t miss any of our unbiased tech content and lab-based reviews. When enabled, your iPhone will detect if its camera lens is smudged, and your device will tell you to clean it to improve your image quality.
