Boy band Kis-My-Ft2<\/a> member and voice actor<\/a> Toshiya Miyata<\/a> voiced<\/a> the leader of the “Shining Oceans” Unite Battle idol team in the 141st episode on June 19, which is themed after The Pok\u00e9mon Company International<\/a> and Tencent<\/a>‘s TiMi Studio Group<\/a>‘s Pok\u00e9mon Unite spinoff game<\/a> for Nintendo<\/a> Switch and smartphones. <\/p>\n The protagonists’ voice actresses Minori Suzuki<\/a> (as Liko) and Yuka Terasaki<\/a> (as Roy<\/a>) perform<\/a> the new opening theme song “Sekai Tsunagare,” produced by HoneyWorks<\/a>. CUTIE STREET<\/a> perform the new ending theme song “Cute na Ky\u016btai.”<\/p>\n The anime entered a new arc last October. In the arc, the characters go to Blueberry Academy, originally introduced in “The Indigo Disk” DLC<\/a> from the Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet\/Violet games.<\/p>\n The anime premiered<\/a> in Japan in April 2023 with a one-hour first-episode special. The show airs on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. JST. The anime started<\/a> its second arc, “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos), with its 29th episode in October 2023 in Japan. The “Terastal Debut” arc<\/a> for the anime debuted in April 2024. The fourth arc started in Japan in October 2024, and it featured characters from Kitakami, a location in “The Teal Mask” expansion for the Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet\/Violet games.<\/p>\n The anime follows completely new dual protagonists, who are named Liko and Roy. The anime features Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Pok\u00e9mon Violet video games, and also the Legendary Pok\u00e9mon Rayquaza in its Shiny form. The anime also introduces<\/a> the new characters Friede and Captain Pikachu, who are a Pok\u00e9mon professor and Pok\u00e9mon partner duo who battle alongside Liko and Roy.<\/p>\n Saori Den<\/a> (Mirage Queen Prefers Circus<\/a>) is directing the anime, and Daiki Tomiyasu<\/a> (Pok\u00e9mon Sun & Moon<\/a>, Pocket Monster Mezase Pok\u00e9mon Master<\/a>) is serving as creative director. Dai Sat\u014d<\/a> (Eureka Seven<\/a>, Wolf’s Rain<\/a>, Samurai Champloo<\/a>, Cowboy Bebop<\/a>) is overseeing the series scripts. Tetsuo Yajima<\/a> is the action director, Rei Yamazaki<\/a> is the character designer, and Ky\u014dko It\u014d<\/a> is the sub-character designer. Masafumi Mima<\/a> is the sound director and Conisch<\/a> is composing the music.<\/p>\n The Pok\u00e9mon Company<\/a> had originally announced<\/a> that the anime would debut on Netflix<\/a> in the U.S. in February 2024, but the series debuted<\/a> instead in March 2024. Netflix premiered<\/a> Pok\u00e9mon Horizons: The Series\u2014The Search for Laqua, the anime’s second season, in February 2025.
