Wear OS smartwatch owners are finding the Google Clock app is no longer available to download to their device. It\u2019s only impacting some Wear OS smartwatches, but there have been reports on social media throughout the last few weeks showing the change.<\/p>\n

As spotted by Android Authority<\/a>, reports on Reddit<\/a>, Google\u2019s support forums<\/a>, and the Play Store listing for Google Clock itself, show problems dating back around three weeks. The reports are from users who have found the app is no longer available to download.<\/p>\n

One review on the Play Store ad from user K Droid reads, “I just reset my Galaxy Watch 6, which I previously had this Google clock app installed on, but now, it looks like I can’t install it on my watch again. I’m not sure why.” The user also says they hope it is a glitch and that Google will fix it in the future.<\/p>\n

The reports seem to err toward Samsung Galaxy Watch devices and OnePlus smartwatches. PCMag has found the app is incompatible with a Galaxy Watch 7 model. So far, we haven\u2019t spotted any reports of an issue on a Pixel Watch device, suggesting Google isn’t sunsetting its Clock app for Wear OS altogether.<\/p>\n

Google has yet to comment on the issue, but PCMag will update this article if we hear back.<\/p>\n

At a similar time to when reports started to appear, Google announced it would be ending<\/a> support for third-party watches downloading its Google Weather app. <\/p>\n

The brand said at the time, \u201cWith your favorite watch brands offering their own default weather apps on Wear OS, we’ll no longer offer Google’s built-in Weather app on Wear OS 6+ smartwatches.\u201d<\/p>\n

It may be a similar situation here with its clock app as all third-party watch brands offer a clock and alarm alternative to Google\u2019s system. If true, Google has yet to clarify that, which would be odd as it was clear around its decision to end support of its Weather app.<\/p>\n

For now, you\u2019ll have to continue to use the clock app included on your smartwatch, or find another third-party alternative not made by Google.<\/p>\n
