A chainsaw sculptor has been appointed to create new tree sculptures in West Bridgford<\/a> as part of work to replace and enhance existing features.<\/p>\n

Rushcliffe Borough Council confirmed that Peter Leadbeater, a chainsaw sculptor, has been appointed to carve two tree trunks.<\/p>\n

The first trunk will be turned into a totem pole featuring carvings of British wildlife, while a lower stump will be carved into the shape of a fawn.<\/p>\n

The work began yesterday and is expected to be completed by the end of next week, subject to progress on site.<\/p>\n

The council also said it is replacing a focal point in a raised bed with a metal leaf sphere. The feature is due to be delivered today and is expected to be installed in the next day or so.<\/p>\n

The works form part of improvements to the area, with the carved tree trunks intended to retain a natural feature while creating a new point of interest for visitors.<\/p>\n
