Funnell said the attempted ram raiders were able to get into the store, but with the store\u2019s stock hidden, they left empty-handed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve got glass shatterers and door sensors and a very high commercial screamer.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo that was all going off and I don\u2019t know how uncomfortable that is for him. So he left very quickly and drove off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since the attempted break-in, temporary wooden walls had gone up around the store\u2019s entrance, but Funnell said the store was still operating as usual.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had everyone turn up and get the job done. So, we\u2019re grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n
He expected to have his glass storefront back in roughly two weeks.<\/p>\n
Funnell said the incident did not make him think twice about operating a jewellery business.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery town\u2019s got its ratbag.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe business will just carry on as usual. That\u2019s what we have insurance and resilience for.\u201d<\/p>\n
Detective Nicholas Moorhouse said police were asking for anyone with information on the incident to get in touch.<\/p>\n
