His death comes six years after the death of his younger sister Caroline \u2013 who was a major star on British television, hosting shows such as The X Factor, I\u2019m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! NOW! and Love Island \u2013 in February 2020 at the age of 40.<\/p>\n
Following Caroline\u2019s death, Paul shared a touching tribute on Instagram alongside a childhood photograph of the pair.<\/p>\n
He wrote: \u201cThis will be my last post here. May those who know feel shame for eternity. Love you Caroline.\u201d The heartfelt message remains the final post on his Instagram account.<\/p>\n
Although Paul largely stayed away from the spotlight, he became one of several members of the Flack family who spoke publicly about the devastating impact Caroline\u2019s death had on those closest to her.<\/p>\n
In 2021, he appeared alongside his mother, Christine, and sister, Elizabeth, in the documentary Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, which explored the presenter\u2019s career, personal struggles and the profound effect her loss had on her family.<\/p>\n
In the Disney+ series, Christine tries to understand the events that occurred in the final months of Caroline\u2019s life.<\/p>\n
Speaking to her children about her mission, she said: \u201cI just hope I can achieve something, and as long as you all don\u2019t mind me doing it, I\u2019ll go ahead.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think Caroline would be pleased with what I\u2019m doing. I wish I\u2019d done it then, before she took her own life, and that\u2019s my biggest regret, that I wasn\u2019t shouting like this then, but now I\u2019ve got nothing to lose.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe worst thing in the world happened with losing Carrie.\u201c<\/p>\n
Caroline ended her own life in February 2020, after learning that prosecutors intended to pursue an assault charge over an incident involving her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, in December 2019.<\/p>\n
