Three new packs will replace the old plans, alongside a new daily roaming option.<\/p>\n
A $30 14-day pack will still be available to prepaid customers.<\/p>\n
The other options will provide travellers with 20GB to use over 30 days, a change the company believes will make roaming simpler and more predictable.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis helps our customers to stay connected for longer, with fewer top-ups, less uncertainty, and greater confidence about what they\u2019ll pay.\u201d<\/p>\n
While the $50 and $65 packs have a higher upfront cost, customers would receive five times more data to use than under the previous plans, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
They said Spark recognises the changes will affect customers differently, depending on their travel habits.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s why we\u2019re offering a mix of daily roaming and roaming packs, so customers can choose the option that best suits their trip and usage.\u201d<\/p>\n
The daily roaming service will activate automatically when travellers make calls, send texts or use data, allowing them to use their local plan for $10 a day across more than 100 eligible countries.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you\u2019d prefer not to use daily roaming, you can buy a roaming pack before you go. That will activate instead as soon as you start roaming in an eligible destination.<\/p>\n
