\u201cI am in awe of how amazing people are thank you to Maddi, Lucy, Jazz, and everyone who gave their time to make this elopement a very extra special one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jai, 30, ended his professional rugby league career in May after he revealed he had gone through months of testing and treatment for MND<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He has since received a swell of support<\/a> from the NRL community, including the competition announcing it will throw him the \u201cworld\u2019s biggest birthday party\u201d on July 12 as the main event of a series of fundraisers to support him as he navigates the disease. <\/p>\n

Last month, Jai rung the South Sydney legacy bell before his former clubs the Rabbitohs and Broncos played in a fundraiser match. <\/p>\n

South Sydney wore all-white jerseys with \u201cArrow\u201d printed on the back, while Brisbane\u2019s had his heritage number \u201c222\u2033 stitched in. <\/p>\n

Jai, Berina and their daughter Ayla were also seen at the AFL\u2019s Big Freeze event<\/a>, which helps to raise money for the FightMND charity. <\/p>\n
