Emergency services are at the scene of an incident involving a helicopter at Gisborne Airport, which police say had a “hard landing”.<\/p>\n
Fire and Emergency NZ said it was called just before 2pm by air traffic control “about a helicopter crash at Gisborne Airport”.<\/p>\n
FENZ said it responded with crews from Gisborne, Eastland, P\u0101t\u016btahi, \u00a0Tolaga Bay and Manutuke.<\/p>\n
In a post to Facebook, the airport confirmed two people were on board the helicopter.<\/p>\n
Police said two people were reported to have minor injuries.<\/p>\n
“Emergency services were called to Gisborne Airport at about 2pm after a hard landing by a helicopter,” police said.<\/p>\n
The Civil Aviation Authority had also been notified, it added.<\/p>\n
Fire and Emergency New Zealand said it was in attendance and “working to make the scene safe”.<\/p>\n
Hato Hone St John said it responded and assessed two people at the scene in “minor conditions”.<\/p>\n
