Then, around midday, a live forum would be held to showcase six or seven business sectors \u201cthat are of interest to India\u201d, followed by a celebration lunch.<\/p>\n
Modi\u2019s visit will end with a \u201cmassive community event\u201d on Saturday that thousands of local Kiwi Indians are expected to attend.<\/p>\n
Luxon said Modi was interested in New Zealand\u2019s high-tech and high-performance sport approach. <\/p>\n
Heightened security presence <\/p>\n
Earlier this week, police operation commander Inspector Grae Anderson said additional support from specialist groups was being deployed, including public order teams from across the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese specialist resources will be able to assist with supporter crowds or any other disruptions that may occur.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anderson said, given the stature of the visit, the public should expect some disruptions to parts of the city.<\/p>\n
Global Risk Consulting Group managing director Chris Kumeroa said authorities kept public security plans broad, so people weren\u2019t able to search for \u201cvulnerabilities\u201d.<\/p>\n
The former NZSAS trooper said they could also use a \u201cshow of force\u201d to demonstrate a physical security presence and manage risks.<\/p>\n

\u2018Taking my guns to please Modi\u2019<\/p>\n
Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki made incendiary social media comments last month, accusing Modi of targeting Indian Christians with threats and violence.<\/p>\n
He later called for \u201cModi\u2019s visit to be banned and for the India-NZ FTA to be torpedoed\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we should reciprocate in kind. Let\u2019s purge New Zealand of Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims,\u201d Tamaki said.<\/p>\n

Tamaki was served a \u201ctemporary firearms licence suspension notice\u201d last month by police and had several hunting weapons confiscated.<\/p>\n
The police operation at Tamaki\u2019s home followed his reference on a podcast to using a shotgun to protect his family from immigrants.<\/p>\n
Tamaki told the Herald he was speaking figuratively.<\/p>\n
After the seizure by police, Tamaki claimed his guns were taken because the Government and police were \u201cbending over backwards\u201d ahead of Modi\u2019s visit. <\/p>\n
