\u201cThe Real Housewives of Orange County\u201d star Jennifer Pedranti said Thursday that her son was involved in the Ladera Ranch brush fire in California.<\/p>\n

The Orange County Fire Authority received multiple calls around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday reporting a vegetation fire on Narrow Canyon Road in southern Orange County that was \u201cthreatening nearby homes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to 7 acres with the help of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the fire authority said.<\/p>\n
Video from the scene showed smoke billowing from the fire as a helicopter flying overhead sprayed it with water.<\/p>\n
The Orange County Fire Authority did not respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n
In a statement posted to her Instagram stories, Pedranti said her son and \u201cothers were involved.\u201d The mother of five \u2014 four sons and one daughter \u2014 did not mention which son was involved in the incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy ex husband and myself take this very serious. This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
Pedranti said \u201cthere was no property damage and nobody was hurt,\u201d adding that \u201cthere were no arrests made, but consequences for actions are being put into place.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe will be taking a fire safety course to make sure a mistake like this never happens again,\u201d she wrote in her statement. \u201cThere are consequences within our family and we will make sure our son learns from this accident.\u201d<\/p>\n
NBC News reached out to the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Department for comment.<\/p>\n
Pedranti joined \u201cRHOC\u201d as a housewife in the Bravo reality series\u2019 17th season, which aired in 2023. She\u2019s been back for every season since, including the 20th season, which is currently airing. <\/p>\n
This is not the first time one of Pedranti\u2019s children has had a run-in with the law.<\/p>\n
The four-season housewife kicked off the 20th-season premiere that aired on Thursday by sharing that her 17-year-old son, Greyson, was stopped by police for speeding.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I said, \u2018Wait, wait. Grey, how fast did they pull you over for?\u2019 105. I lost my mind, like inappropriately,\u201d Pedranti told her castmate Emily Simpson.<\/p>\n
