Sheinelle Jones is celebrating her twins, Clara and Uche, turning a year older.<\/p>\n
On July 10, the TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle co-host shared a handful of photos on Instagram <\/a>and went down memory lane as her youngest kids turned 14 years old. Reflecting on the day they were born, Sheinelle wrote how her and late husband Uche Ojeh\u2019s \u201clives were forever changed\u201d when Chara and Uche<\/a> came into this world. <\/p>\n \u201cA two for one special!\u201d she wrote alongside a photo of her when she was pregnant, as well as various snaps from her twins\u2019 14 years of life. Sheinelle, who is also mother to older son Kayin, continued by sharing memories for the photos she posted.<\/p>\n \u201cIn this second picture \u2026 I remember placing the twins at the foot of my hospital bed\u2026 staring at them in awe \u2026 in their little onesies,\u201d she recalled. \u201cIn the 5th picture, my husband had native wear made for their baby dedication at church.\u201d<\/p>\n Touching on the ninth photo in the carousel, Sheinelle wrote that she remembered her twins\u2019 preschool graduation \u201clike it was yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNow,\u201d she continued. \u201cI have three kids in high school!\u201d<\/p>\n She expressed her gratitude for being their mother, writing, \u201cI am so thankful to be their mom \u2026 clearly \u2026 I even wrote a book about it.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cAll 3 of my children will always be my babies \u2026. no matter how big they get!\u201d before wishing Clara and Uche a happy birthday. \u201cLove you!\u201d<\/p>\n Sheinelle\u2019s TODAY family also celebrated her son and daughter\u2019s 14th birthday. <\/p>\n Al Roker wrote, \u201cLove you all,\u201d while Savannah Guthrie added, \u201cbeauties \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n Back in 2015, Sheinelle opened up about raising twins in a story titled \u201cThings I wish I knew before having twins<\/a>.\u201d She wrote that in the early months after giving birth, she and Uche, who died in 2025 <\/a>following a battle with brain cancer, were \u201cjust trying to get through each day.\u201d<\/p>\n She shared how it took some time for her to realize that it\u2019s \u201cOK to give them separate outings,\u201d she wrote on TODAY.com. <\/p>\n \u201cI remember when they were months old and I was so busy trying to make sure both twins went everywhere. As a result, we didn\u2019t go anywhere,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThe double stroller, the loaded diaper bag, loading them in the car seats … It was too much. With 20\/20 hindsight, I realize I could\u2019ve just taken them out, one at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n She also reflected on the importance of treating them as individuals and \u201cfeed their own particular needs, while also teaching them that they are a team. It\u2019s a tap dance. Always.\u201d<\/p>\n
