\n and Boss have been celebrating the classic accessory in new ways on this year\u2019s red carpets and runways.\n <\/p>\n

The Hidden Tie<\/p>\n
The military tie tuck has been seen all over Saint Laurent\u2019s Menswear Fall\/Winter 2026-2027 collection and beyond, quickly emerging as one of the biggest men\u2019s fashion trends of 2026.<\/p>\n
YSL\u2019s obsession with hiding its ties has been taking the internet by storm because of the consistency of this quirk in its styling over the past six months. Stars such as Connor Storrie, Bad Bunny, Rami Malek and Tom Blyth have all been seen sporting this style.<\/p>\n

The Casual Tie<\/p>\n
Fashion has been getting messy, and this includes ties. Dior has been showcasing an unfinished look, with looser and lower ties and slightly messy collars, giving the runway a lazy British prep-school energy.<\/p>\n
Seen on celebrities such as Josh O\u2019Connor, A$AP Rocky, and Andrew Garfield, this look has been all over social media as well, with users loving the cheeky boyishness it brings to a classic style.<\/p>\n
Boss has also joined the unfinished casual tie train with its Spring Summer 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week, showing off undone tie looks on the runway.<\/p>\n

The Monochrome Tie<\/p>\n
Matching ties to suits is not an uncommon practice in menswear. A new emerging trend, however, is matching ties to shirts.<\/p>\n
Two of the biggest movie stars in the world right now have both been seen sporting this look in the past month.<\/p>\n
Disclosure Day\u2019s Josh O\u2019Connor matched his tie to a charcoal grey shirt, and Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, stepped out in heroic red, showing the style works powerfully outside of traditional blacks and whites.<\/p>\n
This monochromatic look also dominated March\u2019s Oscars red carpet, albeit in a slightly more traditional fashion, as Heated Rivalry\u2019s Hudson Williams made his first red carpet appearance in a sleek black ensemble, while best actor nominee Timothee Chalamet wore all white.<\/p>\n

If Johnathan Anderson\u2019s AW26\/27 Dior collection hinted at anything for upcoming fashion trends, it was that bow ties are back in a big way.<\/p>\n
A$AP Rocky has been seen in a bow tie, and Bad Bunny, dressed as an aged version of himself, wore a pussycat bow to May\u2019s Met Gala. The bow tie trend has been simmering in the background and is now trending.<\/p>\n
Bows and ribbons have been popular for the past couple of years, and they have finally infiltrated menswear. Actor Paul Mescal opted to wear a black ribbon tied into a bow at his collar for this year\u2019s Oscars, and a soft pink ribbon was featured in Dior\u2019s Homme AW 2026\/27 collection.<\/p>\n

The Tie Alternatives<\/p>\n
If you want to move away from the classic tie, scarves, ascots, cross ties, cravats and the lavalliere have all been seen on runways lately.<\/p>\n
Scarves offer versatility, with the ability to stay safely traditional or have a bit more fun with it, as seen on the runway from brands such as Valentino. Actor Colman Domingo, one of the best-dressed men in the game, has been all over this look, as has young rock star Sombr.<\/p>\n
The traditional lavalliere has been reimagined with a romantic elegance, looking almost like a loosely tied ribbon, in place of a traditional tie. Stars such as Walton Goggins, Joe Alwyn, Paul Mescal and Jeff Goldblum have all been seen sporting these on the carpets.<\/p>\n
