Carrie Bickmore<\/a> has been soaking up the sun in the Maldives<\/a> on a girls\u2019 trip with her daughters weeks after her return to air following her vocal cord surgery<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Bickmore, 45, spent a week on the island with her two daughters, Evie,11, Adelaide, 7, as well as a close friend and her two daughters.<\/p>\n

Carrie Bickmore thought she\u2019d never holiday to the romantic setting of the Maldives without a partner but turns out a girls\u2019 trip was even better!\u00a0Instagram\/@Carriebickmore<\/p>\n

Bickmore admitted she thought she\u2019d only ever visit the well-known honeymoon destination but making it a girls trip had been even more fulfilling. <\/p>\n

\u201cI always thought I couldn\u2019t come to the most romantic place on earth without a lover,\u201d she wrote in the caption of one post. <\/p>\n

\u201cI just spent a week in the Maldives with a bestie and our girls and it\u2019s been one of the most soul-filling weeks of my life. <\/p>\n

\u201cFemale friendships are just the best \ud83e\udd79\u2764\ufe0f\u201d <\/p>\n

The beloved radio host shared a collection of snaps from her holiday including plenty of her swimming in turquoise blue water, some adorable candids with her daughters and some memorable selfies with her friend. <\/p>\n

The trip comes one month after she returned to the airways following her vocal cord surgery. <\/p>\n

Bickmore called the trip \u201csoul-filing.\u201d\u00a0Instagram\/@Carriebickmore<\/p>\n

Bickmore was joined by her daughters, as well as her friend and her daughters. \u00a0Instagram\/@Carriebickmore <\/p>\n

In a May episode of\u00a0Carrie & Tommy<\/a>, Bickmore revealed she visited an ear, nose and throat specialist who\u2019d warned her vocal cords were \u201cin a very bad way\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy voice hasn\u2019t been right for some time,\u201d the media personality said sounding audibly hoarse.<\/p>\n

\u201cThings are not good, so I\u2019m going to have to take some time off work to get it fixed. If I don\u2019t get it fixed now, they [vocal cords] will be permanently damaged, which will be very unfortunate for my job\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Bickmore became teary as she faced the reality of being away from work and potentially losing her voice.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just don\u2019t like letting people down and I don\u2019t like letting myself down. I also really love my job and don\u2019t want to be forced not to never do it again,\u201d she said shakily.<\/p>\n

The trip was memorable for Bickmore and her daughters.\u00a0Instagram\/@bickmorecarrie<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m taking a little bit of time off to get it fixed. I\u2019m hoping that if I get onto it now, it will be a non-permanent thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the start of June, the 45-year-old was hospitalised to undergo surgery to fix the issue at hand.<\/p>\n

She shared a\u00a0photo<\/a>\u00a0from her hospital bed to\u00a0Instagram<\/a>, captioning it: \u201cOk voice… time to come back…\ud83e\udd1e.\u201d<\/p>\n
