With the number below it is relatively weaker. <\/p>\n<p data-v-4026719d=\"\">Details from the report:<\/p>\n<p>Hires: 5.1M (3.2%) \u2014 little changed m\/m; little changed across all industries.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2\" data-end=\"206\" data-v-4026719d=\"\">Total separations: 5.1M (3.2%), little changed; down in accommodation &amp; food services (-113k) and arts\/entertainment\/recreation (-48k); up in state &amp; local gov\u2019t ex-education (+27k).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"209\" data-end=\"381\" data-v-4026719d=\"\">Quits: 3.1M (1.9%), little changed; down in accommodation &amp; food services (-140k) and arts\/entertainment\/recreation (-22k); up in construction (+56k).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"384\" data-end=\"507\" data-v-4026719d=\"\">Layoffs &amp; discharges: 1.7M (rate 1.1% unchanged); down in wholesale trade (-36k) and federal gov\u2019t (-4k).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"558\" data-v-4026719d=\"\">Other separations: 295k, little changed.<\/p>\n<p data-v-4026719d=\"\">The Job openings were higher than expectations. It was also higher vs the previous month. <\/p>\n<p data-v-4026719d=\"\">Within the details, the BLS is reporting that hires, total separations, quits, layoffs and discharges and other separations were all &#8220;little changed&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p data-v-4026719d=\"\">Note that absent a continuing resolution before midnight tonight, it jeopardizes the release of the US jobs report on Friday at 8:30 AM ET.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Prior month 7.208M revised from 7.181M last monthJOLTS job openings 7.227M higher than the 7.185M estimate.
