\u201cWe had a lot of fun working together, and not that anyone you just mentioned wouldn\u2019t have been a total blast to work with as well\u2026 and I can\u2019t say who or who isn\u2019t coming back.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bowie praised the way the characters share such great \u201cchemistry\u201d, comparing them to Marvel\u2019s X-Men.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the chemistry of these four characters and their diverse skill sets [make it work].<\/p>\n
\u201cKevin and Lauren are the big comic book nerds; Bert\u2019s specialty is geology; Kripke is physics. It\u2019s sort of the X-Men for f***-ups.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also reflected on how Stuart Fails The Universe goes beyond the typical time travel and multiverse stories told by the likes of Marvel and DC.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s found its own niche in that it is really absurdistly funny. And not that I mean, the Marvel films and the DC films take great pains. There\u2019s always good jokes in those.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut we are a much more joke-forward show, you know? Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady are writing for us. I think the idea of it being a multi-dimensional road trip is really fun.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think there\u2019s something about parallel universe tourism that is really exciting right now. And I think our own timeline is so complicated right now that there might be a thirst in America and elsewhere for people to check out other timelines and see how they\u2019re going.\u201d<\/p>\n
The logline for the show reads: \u201cComic book store owner Stuart Bloom is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon.<\/p>\n
\u201cStuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist\/all-around pain in the a** Barry Kripke.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlong the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we\u2019ve come to know and love from The Big Bang Theory.
