Horsburgh is under contract in Canberra until the end of next season but rumours are swirling the rep forward has a desire to return to Queensland, with the Broncos linked to the 28-year-old.

According to Code Sports, Horsburgh faces a significant pay cut if he wants to stay a Raider beyond 2027 and it’s likely he’ll hit the November 1 deadline and test his market for 2028 and beyond.

However, Horsburgh’s agent Jeff Jurotte has labelled any noise that the forward wants out of his current deal prematurely as “speculation”.

“We haven’t spoken to any clubs at the moment because we can’t obviously,” Jurotte told The Canberra Times.

“(Raiders CEO Don Furner) and I have spoken about different scenarios and salary caps and whatever – if Canberra’s got salary cap issues.

“But at the moment, he’s very happy there, and he’s contracted to the end of 2027, and at this stage that’s where we sit.”

Horsburgh isn’t the only high-profile Raiders forward set to become a free agent on November 1, with Hudson Young also in the same boat, although the club are reportedly working hard on an extension offer.

The agent of Corey Horsburgh has shut down any suggestion that the Raiders prop will leave the club…

[9
111,139,69,213
post-528808","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-sports","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz","tag-sports
["GET
