Chinese tourists driving in the country were advised to be cautious, strictly adhere to traffic rules, and avoid sudden braking or sharp turns, the South China Morning Post reported.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Queenstown road users were warned to take extra care as black ice and surface flooding created hazards.<\/p>\n

Queenstown Lakes District Council said at the time that although there were warmer temperatures<\/a> on Tuesday, snowmelt had created a fresh set of risks. <\/p>\n

Black ice had been reported in parts of Shotover Country and Lake Hayes Estate, with the council noting potential for black ice between Cardrona and the Crown Range Summit.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the second fatal crash involving Hong Kong residents in New Zealand this year.<\/p>\n

In May, two Hong Kong tourists died after a three-vehicle crash south of Christchurch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The crash was on SH1\/Main South Rd, near North Rakaia Rd and caused significant traffic delays south of Christchurch while the road was closed.<\/p>\n
