After a whirlwind year marked by heartbreak and intense public scrutiny, Married At First Sight<\/a>\u2019s Gia Fleur <\/a>has finally found her fairytale ending \u2013 and it comes with a very special new addition.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive chat with Woman\u2019s Day<\/a>, Gia reveals she is expecting her second child, her first with boyfriend Alan Wallace<\/a> \u2013 and the couple couldn\u2019t be happier.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was really excited,\u201d Gia, 36, says of the moment she found out she was pregnant. \u201cMy first thought was, \u2018Yay!\u2019 because I have a 10-year-old daughter and I thought I\u2019d never have another kid. I didn\u2019t think I\u2019d meet the right person I\u2019d want to have another baby with.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple met last year after Gia walked away from MAFS, and they quickly became inseparable. They admit their romance has moved at lightning speed, but insist it has always felt right.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were just on the same page from the start,\u201d Gia says. \u201cWe both wanted kids. We just always knew what we wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alan, 35, agrees, adding their connection made everything fall into place naturally. \u201cIt was a pretty easy thing to be all-in with Gia,\u201d he says. \u201cIt wouldn\u2019t have been a shock to anyone we knew that we\u2019d have a baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gia notes, \u201cI mean, we got matching tattoos like a month in. Then we moved in, and moved straight into the reno [of their home]. Like, we were pretty serious early on.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the pregnancy may not have been meticulously planned, it was certainly welcomed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe weren\u2019t trying, but we weren\u2019t not trying,\u201d Gia laughs. \u201cThen I did a test, came out and said, \u2018I\u2019m pregnant!\u2019 And Alan was like, \u2018Oh my God! What? How?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair, who are now 12 weeks along and due in early January, say the experience has already been incredibly special, particularly given Gia\u2019s journey to get here.<\/p>\n

After leaving MAFS, Gia endured a brutal wave of public criticism that deeply affected her mental health.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was one of the most hated people in Australia,\u201d she admits candidly. \u201cThere were constant death threats, people telling me to give up my daughter, saying I was a terrible mum.\u201d<\/p>\n

TOUGH TIMES<\/p>\n

The toll was immense, especially as she was also coming off antidepressants at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a lot,\u201d she says. \u201cI relied really heavily on Alan. I was second-guessing myself. But I had to remind myself, this is a TV show and I\u2019m not a bad person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Through it all, Alan, who knows the ins and outs of reality TV, having starred in the second season of Love Triangle<\/a> back in 2023, became her rock.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t want to get to know her through MAFS,\u201d he explains, adding that he\u2019s still yet to watch an episode of Gia\u2019s season. \u201cI wanted to get to know her as a person. And I saw how good of a mum she is. Everything worked out how it was meant to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, the couple are building the life Gia always dreamed of.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what I wanted from the beginning,\u201d she says. \u201cA happy home, a dad figure for [daughter] Willa, and someone I could have more babies with. I wanted the whole family, not just a partner.\u201d<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s clear Alan has stepped seamlessly into that role, forming a close bond with Gia\u2019s daughter Willa.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s the best stepdad,\u201d Gia gushes. \u201cThey\u2019ve got their own little jokes, their own relationship. I can only imagine how he\u2019ll be when the baby comes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Willa couldn\u2019t be more eager to welcome a sibling!<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited. I\u2019ve been an only child for a while now,\u201d she says, adding that she\u2019s holding out hopes for a little sister.<\/p>\n

While the couple are yet to find out the baby\u2019s gender \u2013 they\u2019re planning a reveal very soon \u2013 Gia says she\u2019ll be thankful for a boy or girl.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want them to be healthy,\u201d she says. \u201cAfter everything with Willa, that\u2019s all I care about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her first pregnancy was extremely difficult, with severe morning sickness that saw her hospitalised multiple times and lose 10kg.<\/p>\n

DREAM PREGNANCY<\/p>\n

Thankfully, this time around has been a completely different experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t even thrown up,\u201d she laughs. \u201cIt\u2019s a very easy pregnancy compared to before, although my cravings are crazy. I want meat all the time, like Bunnings sausages!\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, the couple are focused on enjoying this new chapter together, with talk of marriage and possibly even more children down the track.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we have another girl, I\u2019d probably try again for a boy,\u201d Alan jokes. \u201cAnd if she behaves, she might get a ring eventually.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gia laughs, adding, \u201cWe\u2019ll definitely get engaged and married. But right now, I just want to focus on the baby and our relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

After everything she\u2019s been through, Gia says she finally feels at peace and more herself than ever, and while she acknowledges this news may reignite some backlash against her, she notes that her burgeoning family is all she needs. The rest is just noise.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people who say, \u2018Oh, we\u2019ve moved too fast\u2019, they are the same people that thought this was a PR relationship. But here we are, nearly eight months together,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe live together, we have a baby on the way. It doesn\u2019t get much more serious than this.\u201d<\/p>\n
