(Photo via Spruill Gallery)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current mural on-site, <a href=\"https:\/\/roughdraftatlanta.com\/2025\/10\/27\/spruill-gallery-amplify-champion\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cA Charm of Buntings,\u201d <\/a>was painted by last year\u2019s winner Chloe Alexander, an Atlanta-based printmaker who has exhibited work nationally and internationally \u2013 including at the Harvard Museums in Cambridge and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Past winners also include Manty Dey (2024), Charity Hamidullah (2023), Alice Stone-Collins (2022), Alea Hurst (2021), and Christopher Michaels (2020), the release said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s winning design and mural will be unveiled at a public event on November 21, Spruill officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submissions in any medium from individual artists or art teams residing in the United States will be considered, but applicants must be 18 or older. All applicants, regardless of whether their work is chosen, will be eligible for inclusion in a city database of artists and art projects to be considered for future public art projects, Spruill officials said in the release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn addition to providing opportunities for artists, our yearly AMPLIFY murals allow us to add a vibrant addition to a heavily trafficked site in Perimeter Center,\u201d said Spruill CEO Alan Mothner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Details and application instructions for this year\u2019s contest <a href=\"https:\/\/spruillarts.org\/amplify\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Spruill Gallery is now accepting nationwide submissions through August 28 for its seventh annual AMPLIFY mural competition.
