The Strokes<\/a> have shared In Transit: Part II, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their new album \u2018Reality Awaits\u2019<\/a>. Watch below.<\/p>\n

The 10-minute video serves as the sequel to the New York band\u2019s In Transit, a mini-documentary they filmed in 2001 as they played their early shows around debut album \u2018Is This It\u2019.<\/p>\n

Per IMDb<\/a>, the now-classic candid vlog was released on DVD to members of the now-defunct \u2018Alone, Together\u2019 fan club back in 2004.<\/p>\n

Julian Casablancas<\/a> and co\u2019s follow-up comes over 20 years on from the original, marking the release of their seventh full-length record today (Friday July 24).<\/p>\n

Directed by Johann Rashid, the video was captured over the six weeks the band recorded \u2018Reality Awaits\u2019 in Costa Rica with acclaimed producer Rick Rubin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The clip begins with drummer Fabrizio Moretti laying down a part, before we see Casablancas goofing around in a car while he makes his way to \u201cthe compound\u201d. Elsewhere, The Strokes take guidance from Rubin, with Casablancas then playing keys.<\/p>\n

Other scenes find the band working on recent singles \u2018Falling Out Of Love\u2019<\/a> and \u2018Going Shopping\u2019<\/a>. Later, Albert Hammond Jr<\/a> takes a dip in the idyllic garden\u2019s pool. A snippet of an upbeat acoustic guitar part closes out the vlog as the sun sets over the studio.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the short sequel doc on Reddit<\/a>, one fan wrote: \u201cI feel like it\u2019s 2002 all over again. I need this on DVD stat!\u201d Another user said: \u201cCan\u2019t believe this is back, I don\u2019t think I can take the nostalgia.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else shared: \u201cSo funny looking at this picturesque recording studio and thinking back to the chaos and moving around of In Transit p1. The boys really did make it.\u201d<\/p>\n
