{"id":541710,"date":"2026-07-24T09:26:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T09:26:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/541710\/"},"modified":"2026-07-24T09:26:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T09:26:11","slug":"at-ai-summit-south-korea-outlines-its-ai-future-with-nvidia-and-partners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/541710\/","title":{"rendered":"At AI Summit, South Korea Outlines Its AI Future With NVIDIA and Partners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At this week\u2019s AI Summit in San Francisco, South Korean President Jae Myung Lee and some of the country\u2019s top business leaders and researchers are meeting with NVIDIA and ecosystem partners to chart Korea\u2019s AI progress.<\/p>\n<p>Building on NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.nvidia.com\/blog\/korea-ecosystem-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">visit to Korea last month<\/a>, this week\u2019s discussions and announcements advance the nation\u2019s full-stack push to expand Korea\u2019s AI infrastructure and expertise on its path toward becoming a global center for AI innovation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To start, NVIDIA and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nvidianews.nvidia.com\/news\/nvidia-and-kaist-launch-joint-ai-research-lab-to-accelerate-ai-innovation-in-korea\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">today announced<\/a> a joint AI research lab at the KAIST Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI in Seoul, dedicated to advancing agentic AI for South Korea. It\u2019s the first joint AI lab between a Korean university and any global technology company.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration will establish a robust academic AI research program, bringing together NVIDIA full-stack AI expertise, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nvidia.com\/en-us\/ai-data-science\/foundation-models\/nemotron\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NVIDIA Nemotron<\/a> open models and NVIDIA AI Cloud partner computing with the world-class scientific talent at KAIST, one of Asia\u2019s premier research universities.<\/p>\n<p>Check back here for updates as the summit continues, including Huang\u2019s meetings with President Lee as well as Korea and U.S. business leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, July 23, 9 p.m. PT<\/p>\n<p>NVIDIA and SK Celebrate Longstanding Collaboration Over Dinner<\/p>\n<p>On the eve of the summit, Huang, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, and the SK hynix, SK Telecom and NVIDIA teams gathered for dinner in Woodside, California \u2014 shown in the featured image above.
