By the time nominations for the 2027 Grammys are announced later this year, it will have been nearly four years since Harry Styles<\/a> came out on top in the biggest category of them all. Harry\u2019s House won both Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, though \u201cAs It Was,\u201d the blockbuster featured on the project, lost all four prizes for which it was nominated at the same ceremony.<\/p>\n Styles took his time touring behind the album and enjoying its enormous commercial and critical success before finally returning in 2026. His newest full-length, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., immediately became another smash. The collection pushed the former One Direction star in a new direction, moving him away from the straightforward pop and rock leanings of his earlier solo work and into a more electronic space.<\/p>\n Where Styles and his team submit the album and its singles for Grammy consideration remains to be seen. He will likely make a play for another pop trophy, though dance and electronic fields may also be possibilities for the singer. If he nabs one more Best Pop Solo Performance nomination, Styles will move into extremely rare company among men.<\/p>\n Harry Styles Could Return to Best Pop Solo Performance<\/p>\n Styles stands a strong chance of being nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance with one of the songs featured on Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. The category honors individual pop recordings, and either \u201cAperture\u201d<\/a> or \u201cAmerican Girls\u201d \u2013 the first two singles from the set \u2013 could fit comfortably in the race.<\/p>\n Those tracks became the biggest hits from Styles\u2019s latest album, so they will almost certainly receive all of the attention during his awards campaign. Whether one is pushed in pop and the other is submitted in a dance or electronic category may depend on what his team decides, and how Recording Academy members organize his submissions.<\/p>\n Harry Styles Has Already Earned a Pair of Nods<\/p>\n Styles has competed for Best Pop Solo Performance twice. \u201cWatermelon Sugar\u201d<\/a> earned him the honor in 2021, his first year as a Grammy nominee. Two years later, \u201cAs It Was\u201d brought him back to the category, but Adele\u2019s \u201cEasy on Me\u201d proved unbeatable.<\/p>\n Harry Styles May Move Into Second Place Among Men<\/p>\n With two Best Pop Solo Performance nominations, Styles is currently tied with Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran for the second-most nods in the field among men.<\/p>\n Bruno Mars competed with \u201cGrenade\u201d and \u201cWhen I Was Your Man,\u201d but lost both times. His breakout smash \u201cJust the Way You Are\u201d did win Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 2011, shortly before the Grammys eliminated the gendered categories and introduced the current field.<\/p>\n Sheeran has also been nominated twice, and his record is perfect. \u201cThinking Out Loud\u201d<\/a> won Best Pop Solo Performance in 2016, and two years later, \u201cShape of You\u201d doubled his career total.<\/p>\n Justin Bieber Holds the All-Time Male Record<\/p>\n Justin Bieber remains the male artist with the most Best Pop Solo Performance nominations. The Canadian superstar has competed four times, though amazingly, he has yet to win. \u201cLove Yourself\u201d earned Bieber his first nomination in the category, followed years later by \u201cYummy,\u201d \u201cAnyone\u201d and \u201cDaisies\u201d at the most recent show.<\/p>\n Bruno Mars Might Also Return to the Pop Race<\/p>\n Styles may not be the only man moving up the all-time ranking this year. Mars recently returned with The Romantic, his first solo album in almost a decade, and several of its singles could contend across pop and R&B categories.<\/p>\n
