If our steering wheel is off a quarter turn, we want to fix it,\u201d said Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvidently, he left pit road early in the race to start the race and didn\u2019t have it in the right spot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s taking another shot at it here, gets it wrong, he\u2019s messing with it \u2013 and oh, hello grass.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was well-planned. It was on the apron as well as he was trying to get up to speed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m sure his heart rate went up a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cOh! Hello grass!\u201d \ud83d\ude05<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JimmieJohnson?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">@JimmieJohnson<\/a> breaks down SVG trying to fix his steering wheel WHILE DRIVING \ud83d\ude33 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/muiXDShup7\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/muiXDShup7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 TNT Sports U.S. (@TNTSportsUS) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TNTSportsUS\/status\/2081461948164501772?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">July 26, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Van Gisbergen went on to finish 16th at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, representing a nine-place gain on where he started.<\/p>\n<p>A well-executed pit stop and a late incident involving Team Penske\u2019s Ryan Blaney and the John Hunter Nemechek of Legacy Motor Club vaulted van Gisbergen to 16th late in the race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrategy could have gone a little bit better,\u201d said van Gisbergen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA couple of guys caught that lucky yellow that we were racing around and they jumped us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOtherwise, I thought we did a good job. I think we maximised 16th.
