American online media magazine Loudwire published a story under the headline \u201cNew Zealand Metal Show Ruined by \u2018Huge Mess of S*** in the Pit\u2019.\u201d, and\u00a0United Kingdom\u00a0alternative music media company Louder had a headline that read \u201c\u2019And then everyone else starts vomiting\u2019\u00a0Metal gig in New Zealand marred by extreme poo incident in moshpit\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Devilskin themselves have got in the act and come up with a novel way of preventing repeat incidents.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Tuesday morning the band posted a joke product\u00a0dubbed the \u201cDiaper of Doom\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“After some unique feedback, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to provide Devilskin fans with the ultimate companion for your Be Like The River 10th Anniversary Tour experience!<\/p>\n
“Devilskin’s \u2018Diaper of Doom\u2019\u00a0has you covered front-to-back, start-to-finish.\u201d<\/p>\n
Their diapers promise would be pit-s***ters there would be an odour filter so \u201cno one will smell your dirt\u2019, they would be leak-proof, \u201cso no one will smell your dirt,\u201d and they would be fitted out with extra-warm lining, for those cold Otago nights.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Saturday, the Devilskin concert descended into pure chaos after a \u201cmiddle-aged man\u201d reportedly shook a poo the size of a man\u2019s shoe out his pant\u2019s leg and on to the pit\u2019s floor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A concert-goer, who declined to be named,\u00a0told the Otago Daily Times the rancid stench triggered a vomit-fest.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a rock and metal concert, so\u00a0there was a lot of jumping.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd then eventually someone must have, like, looked down\u00a0and noticed that there was just a huge mess of s*** just completely spread all in the mosh pit, like, all over the floor.”<\/p>\n
The sight and circumstance must have proved too intense for many, as \u201cone girl went\u00a0bleh \u2014\u00a0just vomited . . . on the s***\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
That triggered more vomit\u2019s to be added\u00a0to the pile.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She said she saw the turd on the dance floor before it got stepped on and described it as \u201chuge\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was huge, like, massive. I haven\u2019t seen one that big before.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“I thought it was some guy\u2019s shoe, it was so big. It was unbelievable.\u201d<\/p>\n
The real victims were the \u201cpoor souls\u201d who were left to clean the mess up.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen this was happening, there\u2019s people in the foyer\u00a0and you would have thought someone had died.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u00a0were just bawling their eyes out \u2014\u00a0they were just hysterical.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was one lady with vomit in her hair, s*** on her legs\u00a0and just crying, crying, crying.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHonestly, I have never seen anything\u00a0go down like that at a concert before.\u201d<\/p>\n
Security and Dunedin police managed to track down \u201ca middle-aged man\u201d\u00a0after he was identified by some concert-goers who witnessed him shaking \u201cthe log\u201d out of his trouser leg in the mosh pit.<\/p>\n
Police said they had not charged anyone in relation to the incident.<\/p>\n
