Theron could start the day\u2019s events off with a bang in the women\u2019s weightlifting, having already won a bronze medal at the 2026 Oceania Champions in the 77kg class.<\/p>\n
The North Shore-based weightlifter transitioned into the sport from CrossFit and initially competed in the 71kg class, before moving up and finding more success.<\/p>\n
Theron appears to be enjoying her time at the Games with the New Zealand team, telling Sky Sport, \u201cI dance when I want, I say what I want\u201d, and being described by a teammate as having the most \u201caura\u201d in the team. <\/p>\n
12am: Morgan Henderson<\/p>\n
Women\u2019s 70kg Boxing<\/p>\n
Although it isn\u2019t a medal match, Henderson has the chance to guarantee a medal by winning her quarter-final bout against Indian Arundhati Choudhary.<\/p>\n
Henderson moved into boxing after playing rugby for much of her life and won gold at the Brisbane International Golden Gloves and NZ Championships events in 2025.<\/p>\n
She\u2019ll be looking to go a step further than her teammates Greer Hall, Jordan Wilson and Alex Mukuka, who were all knocked out in their quarter-final fights.<\/p>\n
3.30am: 3×3 Basketball<\/p>\n

The men\u2019s and women\u2019s 3×3 basketball teams both have a guaranteed shot at a medal; the colour will depend on if they can progress through their semi-finals.<\/p>\n
The men have their semi-final against England at 11pm, while the women play Uganda at 1am.<\/p>\n
The outcome of those results could mean a very early start or a slight lie-in if you stayed up to watch the semi-finals.<\/p>\n
The men\u2019s bronze medal match is at 3.30am, and the gold medal game starts three hours later at 6.30am.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the women\u2019s bronze game tips off at 4am and the gold medal match starts at 7am.<\/p>\n
5.30am: Litia Nacagilevu <\/p>\n

Nacagilevu began weightlifting at 13 years old; five years later, she has a shot at a Commonwealth Games gold medal.<\/p>\n
Her first time representing New Zealand was derailed by a shoulder injury at the 2023 junior Oceania Championships, but she returned in 2024 at the IWF (International Weightlifting Federation) Youth World Championships and took bronze.<\/p>\n
The 18-year-old has been making steady progress at the senior level, finishing ninth at the 2025 Senior World Championships and then second at the 2026 Oceania Championships and breaking the junior Commonwealth snatch record as she did so.<\/p>\n
6.21am: Lewis Clareburt<\/p>\n

New Zealand\u2019s golden man in Glasgow has another shot at finishing on top of the podium after winning the 400m IM (individual medley) and 200m butterfly.<\/p>\n
He\u2019ll have to make it out of his first heat, which starts at 9.42pm, where he will go up against Welshman Matt Richards, who finished fifth in the event four years ago, and England\u2019s Tom Dean, who took silver.<\/p>\n
Birmingham gold medallist Duncan Scott will also be competing, but Australian Elijah Winnington, who took bronze at those 2022 Games, will not. <\/p>\n
6.43am: Chelsey Edwards<\/p>\n

Chelsey Edwards has the chance to end the day for New Zealand in style after qualifying for the women\u2019s 50m freestyle final.<\/p>\n
The 25-year-old holds the national record in the event at 24.11 seconds, which she set at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2025 in the United States.<\/p>\n
She has come close to a medal at this year\u2019s Games already, finishing fourth in the 4 x 100m mixed Freestyle Relay and has previously secured a Commonwealth Youth Games gold medal.<\/p>\n
Other athletes to watch<\/p>\n
Lawn bowls fans can watch the men\u2019s pair play Fiji at 8.55pm and the para men\u2019s pair at 11.45pm against South Africa.<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s heptathlon continues throughout the night with Briana Stephenson and Maddie Wilson looking to build on their results already achieved in the 110m hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200m. The long jump starts at 9.05pm, the javelin at 11.05pm and the 800m begins at 7.55am.<\/p>\n
The Silver Ferns aim to keep their winning streak going against Wales at 6am, but anyone looking to hear the national anthem blasted around Scotstoun Stadium can tune in at 5.37am to see Zoe Hobbs receive her gold medal.<\/p>\n
