After a conversation, a welfare check was done at a property on Lingfield St in Glenfield, 5km away, where a man and woman were found dead.<\/p>\n
Goldie said there was no ongoing threat to the wider community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is an awful set of events. I know this will leave many in our community unsettled, but what I can say at this early stage of the investigation is that the offender and victims are all known to each other,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
No one else was being sought in relation to the incident. <\/p>\n
A Lingfield St neighbour said about six police cars lined the street when he got home from work about 11pm.<\/p>\n
He said he would occasionally stop and talk to the people living in the house, and that they were \u201cnice, quiet people\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s very sad.\u201d<\/p>\n
A neighbour of the Seon Pl address told the Herald his mother ran into his room and told him to look outside.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was pretty scary. The street was lined with cops and there were about 10 of them with flashlights surrounding the property.<\/p>\n
\u201cMeanwhile, a guy was getting arrested out on the street.\u201d<\/p>\n
The accused man appeared in the North Shore District Court yesterday and entered no plea. <\/p>\n
