The new website, called TrumpRx, is expected to launch in 2026 and will direct consumers to discounts on drugmakers\u2019 online stores, including Pfizer\u2019s, as reported earlier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/09\/30\/health\/trump-pfizer-trumprx-medications.html?partner=slack&amp;smid=sl-share\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">by The New York Times<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/shots-health-news\/2025\/09\/30\/nx-s1-5558432\/drug-prices-trumprx-pfizer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NPR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The Tuesday announcement comes as part of a deal that grants Pfizer a three-year reprieve from tariffs in exchange for investing in US-based manufacturing, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pfizer.com\/news\/press-release\/press-release-detail\/pfizer-reaches-landmark-agreement-us-government-lower-drug\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">company\u2019s press release<\/a>. Pfizer also agreed to lower prices on the \u201cmajority\u201d of the primary care drugs sold through state Medicaid programs, which it says could result in an average savings of 50 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Details about the <a href=\"http:\/\/trumprx.gov\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TrumpRx.gov<\/a> site are still slim, but senior officials told NPR that it would lead users to pharmaceutical companies\u2019 websites to place orders, and that only patients not using health insurance would be able to take advantage of the discounts.
