Photo \/ NZPA<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A police officer has been charged with stealing a police-issued firearm, RNZ can reveal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Court documents seen by RNZ allege the officer, aged in his 40s, stole a police-issued Glock valued at $1204 in February.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n         The officer is also charged with<br \/>\n         being in unlawful possession of a police-issued Glock. The theft charge carries a maximum sentence of seven years\u2019 imprisonment.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"TErgZkLeGvuOzWkL\" style=\"display:none\">A court registrar confirmed to RNZ today that a suppression order on the officer\u2019s occupation had lifted.
