Two armed robbers are on the run after attempting to snatch tills from an Auckland restaurant last night, police say.<\/p>\n

Just after 11.30pm, two offenders entered a Great North Rd restaurant at Henderson with what appeared to be non-firearm weapons, acting Detective Inspector Megan Goldie said.<\/p>\n

\n The pair threatened staff
\n before unsuccessfully attempting to take the tills.\n <\/p>\n

The offenders fled before police arrived. <\/p>\n
