Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton is as much a fan of Tom Holland as the rest of the Marvel fandom, as he lauded the star’s impeccable comedic timing in an exclusive chat to Digital Spy.

Speaking at the London premiere of the new Sony and Marvel outing, the filmmaker, who previously helmed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and series Wonder Man in the MCU, described how it was like to work with Holland on his fourth standalone film as Peter Parker.

Spidey’s fourth film sees Peter devoting himself to fighting crime in NYC after Doctor Strange’s spell made everyone, including ex-girlfriend MJ (Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon), forget about him.
