The official website for the live-action film<\/a> of Coffee<\/a>‘s Wandance<\/a> manga revealed the full trailer and teaser visual for the film on Friday. The trailer reveals and previews the film’s theme song “For us” by the group &TEAM.<\/p>\n

Kodansha USA Publishing<\/a> releases<\/a> the manga and describes the story:<\/p>\n

A boy named Kaboku sees a girl named Wanda dance, and suddenly burns with a need to join in. With its thrilling scenes of Japanese hip-hop dance and quirky, charming characters, this is a new, inspirational manga for fans of coming-of-age stories like Blue Period<\/a> and Your Lie in April<\/a>. Get up and join the Wandance!<\/p>\n

Kaboku has always just gone with the flow, marching in step to the drumbeat of the expectations of those around him: parents, school, plans for the future. It feels predictable, safe, and\u2026 empty. But one night, Kaboku’s at school late, and he happens on a girl alone, moving wildly, turning a blank space of concrete into a canvas. This is Hikari Wanda, a member of the hip-hop dance club. Kaboku is immediately smitten, but the road to stepping out of his shell is a long one. The club is almost entirely girls, and they’re all, well, way better than him. What’s ahead is unknown, and that’s terrifying, but it also means, for the first time in Kaboku’s life\u2026 a taste of freedom.<\/p>\n

&Team boy band member JO<\/a> plays the film’s protagonist Kaboku Kotani, and Anji Ikehata<\/a> (Yano-kun no Futs\u016b no Hibi<\/a>, Lonely Castle in the Mirror<\/a>) stars<\/a> as Hikari Wanda. Other cast members include\u00a0Kira Yamaguchi<\/a> as On Miyao,\u00a0RAN<\/a> Mazzel as Iori Itsukushima,\u00a0TSUKKI<\/a> as Gaku Kabeya, and\u00a0Aloha Takamatsu<\/a> as Usen Takumi.<\/p>\n

Naoya Kusaba<\/a> is directing the film, with a script by Keiichi Kobayashi<\/a>. Dancer and entrepreneur Charisma Kantar\u014d<\/a> is supervising the film’s dances.<\/p>\n

The film will open<\/a> in Japan on November 27.<\/p>\n

Coffee launched<\/a> the manga in Afternoon<\/a> magazine in 2019, and is simultaneously published<\/a> in Kodansha<\/a>‘s Magazine Pocket<\/a> app. Kodansha published the manga’s 15th compiled book volume in December 2025. Kodansha USA Publishing will release the 14th volume in English on November 2026.<\/p>\n

A television anime<\/a> adaptation debuted in Japan in October 2025. Disney+<\/a> streamed<\/a> the anime as it aired in Japan.<\/p>\n
