Goal attack Georgia Heffernan also went off with an ankle injury in the Wales win, but New Zealand are hopeful she will be fit for tonight\u2019s semi-final against England in Glasgow.<\/p>\n

The winner qualifies for the gold medal match, and will face the victor of the second semi-final overnight between Australia and Jamaica.<\/p>\n

New Zealand have moved through pool play unbeaten after wins against Scotland<\/a>, Jamaica<\/a>, Uganda<\/a>, Wales<\/a> and Trinidad & Tobago<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hall\u2019s injury comes against the backdrop of continued turmoil for the ANZ Premiership<\/a>, with Netball New Zealand yet to confirm<\/a> a domestic competition for next year.<\/p>\n

It leaves the 22-year-old in a tricky spot for next year\u2019s domestic season, given a nine-month recovery timeline would only have her fit by May.<\/p>\n

Hall was statistically the top-performing defender for the five rounds of ANZ Premiership she played before getting injured, making her an obvious prospect for Super Netball clubs.<\/p>\n

However, the injury means she will miss the start of the season, and it remains to be seen whether overseas clubs will want to pursue an injured player.<\/p>\n
