MacGregor was remembered as a \u201cloving son and best wee man\u201d to his mother and \u201cadored and loving brother\u201d to his two siblings, with his father, grandparents, aunts, uncle and cousins also among the bereaved.<\/p>\n

\"CalebCaleb MacGregor was described as a “loyal mate” who was funny and caring. <\/p>\n

A celebration of the teenager\u2019s life will be held at Campbell & Sons in Mosgiel at 10.30am this Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Friends flooded the comments section after the obituary was posted to Campbell & Sons Funeral Services\u2019 Facebook page.<\/p>\n

They remembered his \u201ccheeky grin\u201d and friendships forged on the rugby field, at parties and at Otago Boys\u2019 High School (OBHS).<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks for being a good friend to our boy and all your other mates at OBHS\u201d, wrote one.<\/p>\n

Another offered \u201cmuch love\u201d to the family and friends \u201cwhose lives have been changed forever by his passing\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was such a funny, caring, and loyal mate to so many.\u201c<\/p>\n

MacGregor\u2019s was a \u201cyoung life, gone far too soon\u201d, wrote one mourner in a sentiment shared by others.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo very sad, so very young\u201d, wrote another.<\/p>\n

One new friend described MacGregor as \u201cthe guy who lights up a room the second he walks in\u201d.<\/p>\n

They\u2019d \u201cforever be grateful for every laugh, every drink and every memory\u201d in a friendship that began this year and became \u201cso close in that short time\u201d.<\/p>\n

Police still want to hear from anyone with information relating to the crash<\/a>, which happened about 1.15am last Sunday in the northbound lane of SH1 between Mornington Rd and Aberfeldy St.<\/p>\n

They were \u201cworking to establish the circumstances around the crash\u201d and wanted to hear from any witnesses.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would also like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage in the area before 1.15am.\u201d<\/p>\n
