\u201cThese stations are among the final elements of a recent $2.4 billion Government investment in Auckland\u2019s rail network.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Auckland Rail Network Rebuild had been completed in time for the City Rail Link to open soon, while level crossings were also being replaced to support more frequent train services, Bishop said.<\/p>\n
The Third Main Line was now open, separating freight and passenger rail services, and the rail line to Pukekohe had been electrified.<\/p>\n
\u201cLooking ahead, new rail stations at Ng\u0101k\u014droa are also set to open in 2027.\u201d<\/p>\n
The investment was about supporting infrastructure that would boost the country\u2019s largest city, he said. <\/p>\n
