Princess Catherine and Prince William have done everything they can to prepare Prince George for his role in the Royal Family. The young prince is destined to hold a major role in his future as he is second in line to the throne. Prince George is the eldest child of Prince William and Princess Catherine – and he’s just turned thirteen. There’s a huge change upcoming for Prince George who will be starting at Eton in September.

Royal editor Rebecca English wrote for the Daily Mail: “There are parental concerns, naturally, that he will be growing up in a digital age. She adds: “The couple have refused to allow their children to have mobile phones, although admit that will change with their eldest at senior school.”

Prince William has said that his children do not have phones, but Prince George may need one when he starts Eton.

Royal commentator Sarah Hewson told Vanity Fair: “One thing George won’t be getting [for his thirteenth birthday] is an iPhone.

“His parents are very hot on phones, and they won’t allow him on social media. They want to protect him from that for as long as they can.”

Prince William has said it’s not necessarily phones that he has an issue but “the internet access I have a problem with,” reports Yahoo.

He adds: “I think children can access too much stuff they don’t need to see online, and so having a phone and text message, the old sort of ‘brick phone’ as they call them, I think that’s fine.”

It had long been speculated that Eton could be George’s next school, although a few other schools were said to be in the running, including Princess Catherine’s former school, Marlborough College.

Eton is also just six miles from the family’s home, Forest Lodge, a factor said to have swayed William and Catherine’s decision.

Much like William, who is said to have enjoyed his time at Eton, Harry also attended the school between 1998 and 2003.

Compared to his brother, Harry is said to have endured a tougher time at the school and openly spoke about his experiences in his memoir, Spare.

Princess Catherine and Prince William have done everything they can to prepare Prince George for his role in…

[8
272484,156,241710,34971,30378,11292,111,139,69,15305,4289,4290,17823,3164
post-554700","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-entertainment","tag-digital-age-concerns","tag-entertainment","tag-eton","tag-eton-college","tag-mobile-phone","tag-mobile-phones","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz","tag-prince-george","tag-prince-william","tag-princess-catherine","tag-princess-of-wales","tag-royal-family
["GET
