Feeney clocked a 53.6477s to beat Tickford Racing\u2019s Cameron Waters by 0.0550s.<\/p>\n

The #88 Triple Eight Race Engineering Ford was down 0.044s relative to the #6 Tickford Racing Mustang at the end of Sector 1.<\/p>\n

However, he made the time up in Sector 2 to swing the pendulum to the tune of 0.1s and have a 0.065s advantage before ending the lap just six hundredths faster.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m chuffed. We\u2019ve been on the back foot but there\u2019s blood in the water this weekend, we\u2019ve got a fast car so we\u2019re getting after it,\u201d said Feeney.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a pretty good start to the lap.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously it was pretty fast in that Shootout, I was pretty close to my time from earlier, it was probably similar to what Cam did.<\/p>\n

\u201cI sent it in at [Turn] 6, got it stopped and drove it out and made up about a tenth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t thank the team enough, the turnaround this weekend has been fantastic. It\u2019s great to be on pole again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Waters was a standout in the Top 10 Shootout too as he climbed from fourth to second.<\/p>\n

Grove Racing\u2019s Matt Payne dropped one place to third while Ryan Wood was another who improved session-on-session from eighth to fourth in his Walkinshaw TWG Racing Toyota Supra.<\/p>\n

Dick Johnson Racing driver Brodie Kostecki dropped two places to fifth while Anton De Pasquale fell one position to sixth in the Team 18 Chevrolet Camaro.<\/p>\n

Blanchard Racing Team drivers James Golding and Aaron Cameron sandwiched eighth-placed Thomas Randle in seventh and ninth respectively.<\/p>\n

Randle looked like he might be on for a lap to eclipse Wood\u2019s benchmark, only to fumble the braking zone at the final corner and lock up the right front tyre.<\/p>\n

Race 3 of the Perth Super440 gets underway at 3:20pm AWST.<\/p>\n
