After a few images and a very brief teaser<\/a>, we now have a meatier new-look at the fourth season of Trigger Point, with a longer trailer offering a first glimpse at a guest star from the upcoming chapter.<\/p>\n

The popular ITV drama is due to return in the not-so-distant future, as Vicky McClure’s Lana Washington and her bomb defusal unit takes on a new case as they seek to keep the people of London safe.<\/p>\n

While we still don’t have a premiere date for the fourth season, we do have some new images as well as a 60-second trailer. In true Trigger Point style, the footage features plenty of drama, twists and explosions.<\/p>\n

The clip teases that the team’s new challenge is “unprecedented”, with Lana noting that they seem to know how her team works. The scale of the attacks are made even clearer, with one chief saying they’re the “biggest” threat London has faced.<\/p>\n

The trailer also offers a first look at guest star Julie Graham, who is known for her roles in The Hardacres and This City is Ours. In her latest part, the actor will portray Commander Nia Quentin.<\/p>\n

The procedural series, which was created by Daniel Brierley, was renewed for a fourth season in June 2025<\/a>, with lead star McClure saying that she couldn’t “wait to continue Lana’s journey”.<\/p>\n

“I’m delighted that this thrilling series is returning for a fourth [season],” said Polly Hill, Director of Drama at ITV. “I know audiences will be once again on the edge of their seat as Lana and the team take us on another thrilling ride to keep the capital safe.”<\/p>\n

The new season is being written by Chris Brandon, who wrote four episodes from the previous chapter, while Jennie Darnell and Nirpal Bhogal are sharing directing duties across the six instalments.<\/p>\n

In addition to McClure, who serves as an executive producer alongside Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio, the returning cast for the season includes Eric Shango, Nabil Elouahabi, Natalie Simpson and Maanuv Thiara.<\/p>\n

Trigger Point airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.<\/p>\n
