\nCelebrities such as Kevin Jonas, Mila Kunis, Pamela Adlon, and Scott Foley took over Ripa\u2019s hosting duties last week.<\/p>\n

Kelly Ripa<\/a> is continuing her time off from Live With Kelly and Mark<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ripa was absent from the daytime talk show\u2019s Monday, August 3, episode. \u201cFilling in for Kelly today is Sarah Chalke<\/a>,\u201d Mark Consuelos<\/a> announced at the top of the show as the Scrubs<\/a> actress joined him at the hosting desk.<\/p>\n

Chalke is the latest celebrity to fill in for Ripa<\/a> on the show, as she is currently recovering from a recent gum graft surgery. Ripa was absent for the entirety of last week\u2019s episodes, with celebrities such as Kevin Jonas<\/a>, Mila Kunis<\/a>, Pamela Adlon<\/a>, and Scott Foley<\/a> taking on her co-hosting duties.<\/p>\n

\u201cKelly sends her love. Kelly had a little bit of \u2014 well, it\u2019s not a little \u2014 a gum graft surgery,\u201d Consuelos revealed<\/a> on July 27. \u201cAnd her dentist said five years ago, \u2018You can do it in about five years.\u2019 And she joked, \u2018I didn\u2019t think I\u2019d still be on the air in five years.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Noting that Ripa was \u201cdoing well,\u201d Consuelos said that Ripa is not allowed to speak as her recovery continues. In response, Jonas quipped, \u201cWow. That\u2019s gotta be the hardest thing that she\u2019s ever done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Consuelos continued, \u201cThere\u2019s a list of things that you\u2019re not allowed to do \u2014 talking, she has to eat soft food, you can\u2019t suck out of a straw. You can\u2019t examine it, which means pulling down the lip. And so, last night, she\u2019s like, \u2018Can you look?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m not pulling your lip down.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Jonas asked, \u201cIs there pain?\u201d Consuelos responded, \u201cYeah, it\u2019s painful. But she famously doesn\u2019t feel pain. When she goes into the dentist, she doesn\u2019t really use the Novocain. But this one hurts, so I know it\u2019s bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans sent Ripa their well-wishes via social media. \u201cI literally just had gum graft surgery 2 weeks ago and it\u2019s the palate where they took the skin graft that is still painful! thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery!\u201d one person captioned under a clip<\/a> shared on the show\u2019s Instagram page on July 27. Another added, \u201cI\u2019ve had this surgery! It\u2019s not fun and I put it off for years too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else shared, \u201cHad the same surgery and had a newborn. It was brutal.\u201d A different person posted, \u201cI had that and it\u2019s terrible! I have a high threshold too but that kicked me!! Never again.\u201d A separate commenter stated, \u201cI had the same thing its brutal. I wish her a speedy recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Consuelos has not confirmed when Ripa will return to her role on Live. Ripa, for her part, has not shared any glimpses into her recovery via social media.<\/p>\n
