Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac<\/a> is kicking off with a big reveal.<\/p>\n

In a sneak preview of the Sunday, October 6, season premiere of Bravo\u2019s reality show, viewers learn that cameras were indeed rolling as Karen Huger<\/a> was released from jail<\/a> following six months behind bars.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello, do we have tissues in here?\u201d Karen is overheard asking a driver while holding back tears. \u201cThank you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cameras also captured the scene outside the Montgomery County Detention Center in Maryland on the morning of September 2. At the time, several members of the media had gathered to try and catch a glimpse of Karen\u2019s release.<\/p>\n

While it\u2019s unclear what will be revealed later on in the season, Bravo\u2019s first look at season 10<\/a> continued with the cast gathering two days after Karen\u2019s sentencing.<\/p>\n

On March 1, Gizelle Bryant invited several cast members \u2014 including Ashley Darby, Dr. Wendy Osefo, Stacey Rusch and Keiarna Stewart \u2014 over to describe Karen\u2019s legal drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel so many different emotions,\u201d Gizelle said in a confessional interview. \u201cI wish this weren\u2019t happening. Do I want Karen in jail? Absolutely not. Do I want to make sure we don\u2019t have a fifth DUI? For sure. I just want my Karen back. I really do.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the group came together, some speculated as to what life could really be like for Karen \u2014 nicknamed the Grand Dame of Potomac \u2014 behind bars.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want her to be secure,\u201d Gizelle said. \u201cIf there\u2019s an elderly section, I want her to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keiarna added, \u201cThis is no Martha Stewart experience. She has to take a shower with people. She is in jail, y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Wendy has had her fair share of conflict with Karen on The Real Housewives of Potomac, the political commentator said she also had sympathy for her costar.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, the worst part is that it was so instant. She was taken into custody right away,\u201d Wendy explained. \u201cHow does she process that? Did she know? Was she prepared? For Karen, we may have our differences, but at the core of me, that was once my friend so I want the best for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Karen was initially sentenced to two years<\/a> in jail with one year suspended, meaning she was set to spend one year behind bars after being found guilty<\/a> of DUI and DWI charges.<\/p>\n

The reality star\u2019s conviction stemmed from her March 2024 car accident in Potomac, Maryland.<\/p>\n

At the time, Montgomery County Police told TMZ that she was driving her 2017 Maserati in an \u201caggressive manner\u201d when she struck an intersection crosswalk sign and a parking sign.<\/p>\n

After the accident, Huger shared a statement about her state of mind before the crash.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the passing of my beloved mother, grief comes and goes in waves, and with Mother\u2019s Day approaching, it has felt more like a tsunami,\u201d she told TMZ at the time. \u201cLast night I met a girlfriend for dinner, we talked and brought up some very emotionally sensitive topics. I was crying on my way home and saw a car heading right for me. I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hit the divider and then a tree. I\u2019m hurt, bruised up a bit, but so grateful I am alive!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Potomac season 10 premieres on Bravo Sunday, October 5, at 8 p.m. ET.
