It will cost $23 minimum and passengers will be able to board after business class, to save the scramble to find an overhead spot. <\/p>\n<p>The airline said the change came following research and feedback from both passengers and cabin crew, who said bags being weighed at check-in and having to find room in overhead lockers were stressful parts of flying. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvnz.co.nz\/player\/newsclip\/major-change-coming-to-airline-baggage-rules-what-you-need-to-know-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Major change coming to airline baggage rules: What you need to know &#8211; Watch on TVNZ+<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To make packing easier we\u2019ve decided to remove the 7kg weight limit, so from February, the main thing customers will need to think about is the size of their carry-on,&#8221; chief executive Stephanie Tully said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy giving customers an underseat bag with the option to add Priority Carry-on, we can make better use of overhead locker space, streamline boarding and help more flights depart on time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new carry-on baggage model provides more choice to customers while helping to keep our fares low.
