Emmerdale<\/a> star Danny Miller has shared a sweet message for co-star Lawrence Robb after his Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> news. The Mackenzie Boyd actor was confirmed as the 12th celebrity<\/a> for the new season yesterday, admitting he couldn’t “quite believe” he was taking part.<\/p>\n

Danny, who plays Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap, has now released a supportive post for his friend and colleague, sharing a series of sweet pictures of Lawrence with Danny’s daughter and “number one fan” Edith on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Can\u2019t wait for one of my best pals to take to the dance floor @bbcstrictly whilst I\u2019m gutted we won\u2019t have our lodger and \u2018manny\u2019 or anyone to do gymnastic drop offs, cook the tea or bedtime books until 2027 we wish you all the best. We will be supporting every week!” he wrote.<\/p>\n

Upon the announcement of his participation, Lawrence said: “I don’t know who\u2019s more excited about this, me or my Mother. I can’t quite believe that I am going to be getting my dancing shoes on this September on one of my favourite shows of all time!<\/p>\n

“It’s a dream come true, and I can’t wait to bring my all to the ballroom. Wish me luck, and any advice is very welcome \u2013 trust me I\u2019ll need it!”<\/p>\n

The actor joins the new Strictly season alongside Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best, Sarah Storey, Jaime Winstone, Bethany Antonia, Shaun Wright-Phillips, and Graeme Hall.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Danny has weighed in on the possibility of doing Strictly himself<\/a>, claiming on the Live, Laugh, Luke<\/a> podcast that there are limited options for ITV stars to appear on other shows.<\/p>\n

Asked if another commitment would impact his Emmerdale role, he added: “I\u2019m under contract so it\u2019s irrelevant. It\u2019s like a [Manchester] United player playing for Man City. It just wouldn\u2019t ever happen really.”<\/p>\n

When pressed on whether he would do Strictly, Danny then teased: “I believe they are talking about the possibilities of that,” though jokingly agreed when Hollyoaks’ Brooke Vincent quipped that he “can\u2019t dance”.<\/p>\n

Strictly Come Dancing will return in September to BBC One and iPlayer. Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
