On Saturday morning, Aucklanders will have a chance to see inside the City Rail Link (CRL) for the first time.<\/p>\n
A series of ‘First Look’ events will be held over the next three Saturdays.<\/p>\n
It will begin with Maungawhau Station (formerly Mt Eden), with a free, one-hour tour from 8am.<\/p>\n
There will be food and activities in the surrounding streets, as well as busking and community performances inside the train station.<\/p>\n
“This striking new station combines world-class transport infrastructure with thoughtful design inspired by the surrounding volcanic landscape and deep cultural connections to nearby maunga,” Auckland Transport’s website said.<\/p>\n
