The 36-year-old singer-songwriter was announced as part of the Hall of Fame’s 2026 class on Tuesday, 11 August, adding another major honour to a landmark year for her songwriting career.

Swift, who began her career in country music after moving to Nashville as a teenager, described the recognition from the city as particularly meaningful.

“From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be,” she said in a statement.

She recalled wanting to immerse herself in a community of storytellers and learn from some of the industry’s best writers, describing Nashville as a place that values “hard work, determination and imagination.”

“To be honored by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing, and I’m very grateful,” she added.

The recognition comes just two months after Swift reached another major career milestone.

In June, she was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York, becoming the youngest woman ever to receive that honour.

During that ceremony, Swift was introduced by filmmaker Steven Spielberg and paid an emotional tribute to her family for supporting her throughout her career.

Her upcoming Nashville induction brings her into a Hall of Fame that has honoured some of country music’s most celebrated songwriters since its creation in 1970, including Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson.

Other songwriters announced among the 2026 Nashville inductees include Lyle Lovett, Shawn Camp and Bruce Channel.

The official Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony is expected to take place later this year.

The 36-year-old singer-songwriter was announced as part of the Hall of Fame’s 2026 class on Tuesday, 11 August,…

[28
156,157,111,139,69
post-566626","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-music","tag-entertainment","tag-music","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz
["GET
