Opting out means that \u201cyour streams, VODs, clips, stream chats, and pictures and text on your channel\u201d won\u2019t be used in \u201cfuture training\u201d of an Amazon AI model \u201cwhose purpose is to generate or synthesize text, audio, images, or video,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/help.twitch.tv\/s\/article\/twitch-account-settings?language=en_US#FAQ\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to a Twitch support page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Other \u201cAI-supported\u201d features like captions and safety tools will still function if you opt-out of generative AI training. However, if you participate in a chat on another person\u2019s stream, \u201ctheir opt-out preferences govern if that chat can be used for training,\u201d Twitch says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The \u201cTraining for Generative AI\u201d toggle is present for me in Twitch\u2019s settings under the Security and Privacy tab. It was toggled on when I found it, and I\u2019ve asked Amazon if that\u2019s the default.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">Here\u2019s the full text of Amazon\u2019s description for the toggle:<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup _1lkuyz88 _19wv7tc1\">Allow your channel content to train generative AI content models at Amazon.
