Cox told the ABC police would still respond if they were called to check washed-up material.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t mean that from time to time we won\u2019t get called to investigate something that may have washed up,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut for now there\u2019s no formal search effort underway.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cox asked the public to stop \u201crubbish\u201d rumours circulating online.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I\u2019d like to see happen is a lot of the community chatter that\u2019s going on social media to stop,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI know that\u2019s probably pie-in-the-sky thinking.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere there are gaps in information where the community\u2019s not in possession of [that information], for that to be filled with the rubbish that we\u2019re seeing out there helps nobody and it\u2019s incredibly distressing I\u2019m sure for Mr Wright and the extended family.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe understand the community\u2019s need for information, but we have a duty and a moral obligation and a legislative obligation to the coroner to ensure only factual information is provided,\u201d Cox said.<\/p>\n

Separately, the deceased woman\u2019s husband, Brad Wright, has made his first public comments since the deaths.<\/p>\n

Brad Wright made a return to social media responding to a post from his local federal MP. <\/p>\n

Liberal MP Tony Pasin, who represents the South Australian electorate of Barker, shared a fundraising appeal established by a family friend to support the Wright family and revealed he had contributed $200 to the campaign.<\/p>\n

Among the small number of responses was a comment from a Facebook account using the name \u201cBee Dubs\u201d, which has been verified by the Daily Mail Australia as belonging to Wright.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you, Tony. I appreciate you sharing this,\u201d Wright commented.<\/p>\n
